Unable to Identify Model Number or Serial Number

How do I determine the product model and serial numbers if the tag is missing or illegible?
What do I do if the numbers I have are obsolete or invalid?

With some research your equipment's model number can be determined. However, for our experts to do the investigation takes some time and requires you to gather some specific data about your individual product. (Your patience and understanding during this investigative process is greatly appreciated.)

Below are lists of basic product-specific questions to get the process started. If the type of product you have isn't listed below, use the other questions as a general guide for gathering as much similar information as possible about it. Also, have some clear photographs of the equipment ready before contacting our staff.

NOTE: To aid in our investigation, you may be asked at some point to submit:
• Photos of the product or specific components
• Measurements of specific components

Once the needed information is collected and submitted, our technicians will research any available historical manufacturing records in an effort to determine the model number of the product.

NOTE: While product-specific model numbers are retrievable, item-specific serial numbers are not. However, these serial numbers are not always necessary to resolve a particular situation or to service the product.

IMPORTANT: After the model number is properly re-identified, we strongly suggest that this number be kept in a safe place for future reference (e.g., written down in the Operator's Manual) and also marked on the product with an indelible marker or engraving tool.

Please use the following list of questions when attempting to identify equipment that has no identification tag or the tag has become illegible. This information will help our staff conduct archival research on the product's manufacturing history.
